Estonian state decorations bestowed for Danish citizens

The Republic of Estonia celebrates her 86th anniversary on Tuesday, 24 February 2004.
In few months time Estonia will become full member of the European Union and NATO.
On the occasion of National Day, the President of the Republic of Estonia Mr. Arnold Rüütel awarded state decorations (orders) of Estonia for the following citizens of Denmark for their services to Estonia and her people:
- Ambassador Friis Arne Petersen, Permanent Secretary, Royal Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the 2nd Class Order of Terra Mariana;
- Ambassador Per Poulsen-Hansen, Ambassador of Denmark to NATO with the 2nd Class Order Of Terra Mariana;
- General Hans Jesper Helsø, Chief of Defence Denmark with the 1st Class Order of the Cross of the Eagle;
- Major General Ulf Scheibye, Commanding General of the Home Guard with the 2nd Class Order of the Cross of the Eagle; and
- Mr. Erik Sisbo, Project Manager, Danish Air Materiel Command with the Gold cross of the Eagle.
High state decorations were bestowed by the President of Estonia in Tallinn on Monday, 23 February, 2004.
