10.10.2004
The Cultural Confederation of Foreign Societies (KUKS) is arranging an international exhibition of national art and culture in City Hall of Copenhagen in honour of The United Nation’s Day.
The concept of the Exhibition arrangement is simple, to enable all nations of the World to present their country via postage stamps that portray the people, culture and history of the country.
The opening ceremony will take place on October 25, 2004, at 1 p.m. at the City Hall of Copenhagen, led by the Mayor of Culture, The Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and the President of KUKS and assisted by members of the Royal Family, the Court, Corps Diplomatique, the City Council and other institutions and organisations.
There are 45 countries participating in the exhibition, Estonia being one of them. The public will have free admission to the Exhibition until October 31.
The stamps representing Estonia illustrate Estonian national symbols, historical events and persons, representatives of art and political life, Olympic winners etc.
Estonia’s participation is supported by Embassy of the Republic of Estonia in Denmark and Estonian Post.
