Below is information from the festival's coordinators:
"It is a pleasure once again to welcome you to another round up of European films in the city. Copenhagen International Film Festival runs from 20th.-30th of September and we are looking forward to introducing you to no less than 147 films. The unique film experiences are accompanied by visits from European masters and directors. A long list of special events are also in the programme. All together there is a little something for everybody
An entire school class gangs up on the introverted Joosep. This Estonian drama makes it uncomfortably clear that school bullying is a universal problem. Joosep has learned to live with his fate and has decided to cope with his unacceptable weekdays. To begin with, the class newcomer, Kaspar, does not react to Joosep being exposed to both verbal and physical abuse. But one day Kaspar has had enough and sides with the victim, thus distancing himself from both his friends and his girlfriend. Paradoxically, this only makes things worse for Joosep, who is threatened with even stronger abuse if Kaspar doesn't steer clear of him. It is tough stuff that Ilmar Raag portrays in seven chapters, with a confident insight into the youngsters' universe and an energetic visual style."
